Title A name given to the resource Nomenclatura de gestió universitària Creator An entity primarily responsible for making the resource Xarxa Vives d'Universitats Language A language of the resource cat Description An account of the resource Aquest diccionari és fruit de la col·laboració entre la Xarxa Vives d’Universitats i el Centre de Terminologia TERMCAT, amb l’objectiu de difondre en línia el treball dut a terme per la Comissió de Llengua de la Xarxa Vives mitjançant el grup de treball de Terminologia i Nomenclatura, integrat per tècnics dels serveis lingüístics de 14 universitats de la Xarxa. L'origen d'aquest treball va ser la traducció a l'anglès de tots el termes o nocions que apareixien en les normatives i en els textos institucionals de les universitats i que eren conceptes que no tenien una equivalència clara en anglès. Cada universitat havia trobat les seves pròpies formes i es va considerar necessari consensuar-ne les propostes i disposar de formes comunes a totes les universitats. Així va començar el projecte de fer una nomenclatura de la gestió universitària compartida entre les universitats que es van sumar al projecte. Posteriorment es van afegir entrades que, encara que no presentaven problemes de traducció, donaven completesa al treball. La primera edició d’aquest producte es va fer el mes de juny de 2017. Contenia 403 termes catalans amb equivalències en castellà i anglès, i notes quan calia. La segona edició que ara publiquem incorpora una nova àrea temàtica de l’àmbit de la gestió universitària, la dedicada a la seu electrònica, amb 74 noves entrades. Així doncs, aquesta edició inclou 477 termes. They were put together by the English Language Quality Work Group of the Vives Network of Universities over the course of a year (starting in early 2024). The work was not always plain sailing. As any user of these assistants will know, the results can vary wildly, but this was not the only problem the group encountered.
