For many centuries, half of humanity has been ignored as a subject of study in geography, as society has traditionally been considered a neutral, asexual and homogeneous entity, without addressing the profound differences that exist between men and women in their use of space.
The Guide of Geography to mainstreaming gender in university teaching offers proposals, examples of good practices, teaching resources and consultation tools to reverse androcentrism and include the gender perspective in teaching, knowledge transfer and research.
«Via Universitària: access, learning conditions, expectations and returns for university studies» is a programme aimed at producing rigorous, objective and extensive information about the university student population’s living conditions and forms of connection with studying. The fourth edition was carried out from 2023 to 2025. More than 45,000 students from 20 Xarxa Vives universities were surveyed.
Issue 19 of the Política Universitària collection sets out the main results, conclusions and proposals.
